Some of the most talented young footballers in England will be under the TV spotlight later this month with 15 national schools football finals broadcast live in HD from the English Schools’ FA (ESFA) PlayStation®Schools’ Cup Festival.
Last year’s Finals were viewed on the PlayStation Schools’ Cup YouTube channel by over 60,000 viewers. All games are given the full professional live TV treatment with multiple camera angles, instant replays and a commentary team once again including former England and Liverpool defender John Scales.
Hosted by Derby County Football Club from Monday 15th to Wednesday 17th May, all 15 finals can be viewed live on our YouTube channel and right here on our website. The coverage will ensure that schools can enjoy watching the matches live, as well as family and friends from around the country tuning in to support their team.
For those that can’t catch the action live, post-event match highlights from every game will be uploaded to the PlayStation Schools’ Cup YouTube channel as well as a ‘Goals of the Festival’ compilation.
With entry free, the Festival provides a memorable occasion for school friends and family members attending, with last year’s finals attracting over 5,000 spectators. As well as cheering on their classmates, a series of spectator competitions and activities will contribute to the carnival atmosphere as the 2017 Festival promises to be the most exciting yet.
